I did not know they had a day just for me!
From Wine Industry Advisor: The 11th annual global Champagne Day is October 23. This year, with unexpected challenges and hardships around the world, even the smallest moments in life are a cause for celebration. Champagne Day is a worldwide virtual event, which began in 2009 as the brainchild of Californian blogger and wine trainer Chris Oggenfuss.
The Champagne Bureau, USA, is the official U.S. representative of the Comité Champagne, a trade association which represents the grape growers and houses of Champagne, France. The Bureau works to educate U.S. consumers about the uniqueness of the wines of Champagne and expand their understanding of the need to protect the Champagne name. As you know, I am a big believer in the sparkling wines of the world, including the really great and affordable ones we have here in California. Having been tasting in Champagne, France, I can tell you that our sparkling wines in California are equally good, sometimes superior, and always at better price points!

My favorites for Oct. 23?
