I have shortened the period for travel, and other quotes. But hopefully, these will prove to be just as inspiring, as we are (hopefully) able to hit the road again. Here’s to praying for a safe and widely accepted vaccine. But at least we have some sports on TV, as I think I have seen every movie rerun there is. “You can’t handle the truth” was getting a little thread-bare!!!
“There is no vaccine against stupidity” – Albert Einstein (wow, is this ever true)
“I googled my symptoms. Turns out I just need a vacation” – Anon.
“I need a vacation of six months, twice a year!” – Anon.
From a dear friend:
“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you.” “The journey is part of the experience — an expression of the seriousness of one’s intent.” Anthony Bourdain
“Travel far enough, you meet yourself.” – David Mitchell.

“Live your life by a compass, not a clock.” – Stephen Covey.
“We are all mortal until the first kiss and the second glass of wine.” —Eduardo Galeano, Uruguayan author (1940–2015)

“We have a disease. It’s Jap-baiting and hatred. I went through an experience I’ll never forget when I was working on it and learned a lot, even if I accomplished nothing.”— Dorothea Lange (while photographing the Relocation camps after Pearl Harbor)
“If your arteries are good, eat more ice cream. If they are bad, drink more red wine. Proceed thusly.” – Sandra Byrd
“And again, when you have 15 people [with COVID-19], and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.” — President Trump, at a coronavirus task force briefing, Feb. 26, 2020. So, we are at 228,000 deaths, and counting!
“No matter how big a nation is, it is no stronger than its weakest people, and as long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you might otherwise.” – Marian Anderson
“There are very few African American men in this country who haven’t had the experience of being followed when they were shopping in a department store. That includes me.” – President Barrack Obama
“If we are together nothing is impossible. If we are divided, all will fail.” – Winston Churchill
The quote that I hear most often: “Let’s pray for a good outcome on Nov. 3.”
