I mean 2022, of course. I have big plans for 2022. How about you?
I no longer make resolutions. But I do have plans.
- Keep exercising on the Peloton when I cannot get out on the road with my bicycle.
- Go wine tasting more often.
- Clean out the garage and donate more stuff to charity.
- Get my mountain bike tuned up.
- Replace the canopy on the gazebo covering our bbq.
- Spend more time with dear friends. Expect a call for lunch!
- Follow through on all my travel plans for 2022.
- Volunteer.
- Win the lotto.
- Watch everything I DVR’d on the TV.
Everyone has some issues with the “new” way of life. But it has helped us in other ways, right? We have focused inward, toward our own personal growth, improved family communication, discovery of new hobbies and books, and home improvement projects.
For myself, I have done more reading, and rekindled my interest in maps, wine, and music. What about you?

What did I accomplish in 2021?
Mostly importantly, I stayed healthy. I am vaccinated and got my booster, wear a mask indoors, and stay away from parties and large groups.I made it to Europe safely, twice, as well as Washington, DC, Chicago, San Diego, Scottsdale, Napa, and the Central Coast. Our little mini Labradoodle Lexi has become even more spoiled, and totally in charge of this household.
I watched part of Jeeeack’s “Bucklet List” movie last night. It got me thinking about life and death. I have always preferred to call my future travel list by a better name, The Water Pail List, since “bucket” sounds so final. It also reminded me of the Water Pails that I accomplished in 2021. Here are just the highlights:

Greece (Athens and Santorini) twice (I now have three Greek brothers)Mallorca (you know the story behind it)
Revisits to Germany (Rudesheim, Munich, Frankfurt) and Poland (Warsaw)
Cherry blossoms in Washington, DC
van Gogh Immersive, Banksy, and Kahlo in Chicago
Ravinia
Started Peloton cycling
Red Cross shelter supervisor training
Another safe trip around the sun
Plans for 2022:

Cycling in Croatia
Attend the French Open (tennis)
Visit my brothers in Athens
See a few new countries
Return to Hawaii and Seattle
View the cherry blossoms in DC
Attend the Oktoberfest in Munich
Cycle across the Bay Bridge
Learn a new skill or language
Work a few days to keep the skills fresh (maybe)
But the thought that prevailed, throughout the movie and now, is why wait? Whether it is travel, a favorite music concert, a visit to a winery or museum. Do it now!!!
